The Retreat

An invitation to step away

For seven days we trade noise for stillness. Mornings begin in the open-air shala as the mist lifts off the rice fields; afternoons unfold slowly — a massage, a swim, a walk to the beach for sunset. This is not a holiday with some yoga attached. It is a full immersion in practice, held lightly enough that it still feels like rest.

The intention

To give you a week that recalibrates your nervous system — enough daily practice to go deeper than a weekly class ever can, and enough open space that you come home genuinely rested.

Who it’s for

Open to all levels. Whether you have practiced for ten years or ten weeks, the teaching meets you where you are. Solo travellers make up more than half of every group — you will not be alone for long.
Why Join

What you’ll carry home

A deeper physical practice

Two guided sessions daily — dynamic vinyasa each morning, slow candlelit yin each evening — with hands-on attention that a drop-in class can never give.

A quiet mind

Daily breathwork and meditation build a stillness you can take home. Most guests sleep better by the second night than they have in months.

Emotional space

Distance does what discipline cannot. A week away from every obligation lets what has been waiting underneath finally surface, move, and settle.

Real connection

Shared tables, shared silences, shared sunrises. The friendships made on retreat have a habit of outlasting the tan.

The Destination

Canggu, Bali, Indonesia

Canggu is where Bali’s rice fields meet the sea — a village of black-sand beaches, morning markets, and small temples folded between the paddies. Our home for the week is a garden eco-resort of traditional Javanese wooden houses, gathered around a jungle pool and two open-air shalas, minutes from the coast yet wrapped in green.

Why here

We chose this sanctuary for its mornings: practice begins in the shala as the light comes up over the palms, and the only sounds are birds and the kitchen making coffee. The Balinese hold ceremony and rest as seriously as work — the island itself teaches the lesson of the week.

Nearby

Echo Beach sunsets, the Tanah Lot sea temple, rice-field walks, Canggu’s cafés and surf breaks, and healers and markets a short scooter ride away.

Food & Nutrition

Nourishment as practice

Food on retreat is part of the practice. The kitchen cooks plant-forward Balinese food from the morning market — nasi campur with tempeh, jackfruit curries, smoothie bowls heavy with dragonfruit. Fish is served twice in the week; almost everything else grows on the island.

Dietary needs

Vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-specific menus are handled without fuss — tell us your needs when you reserve and the kitchen takes it from there.

I arrived exhausted and left feeling like myself again — a self I had not seen in years. The days had a rhythm my body remembered by Wednesday.
